Music and Stargazing

What a spectacular evening hosted by Yampatika and Strings Music Festival.  A string quartet from Rice University playing "star" inspired music intermixed with an Astronomer from Colorado Mountain College explaining the wonders of the evening sky. A neat balance of art and science. 

We looked at solar flares through a telescope and had the chance to see Jupiter with 4 moons visible.  A beautiful evening had by all.  We're looking into a winter concert with the science side leaning towards snow!  Stay tuned and check out the Yampatika link on the website to stay up to date..
